Hey Tony,

Great ride, and pics. Thanks for sharing.
I can't help but notice that your max. speed on the GPS is increasing with every post! Just like a stable horse I guess...

Hey Everyone, made it home on time yesterday at 5:30pm after a 6:30am departure from Redding.

The ride down the 5 from Redding to Sacramento was full of smoke from the fires in No Cal, after that the 99 and the Grapevine were moving along pretty nicely. Once I got past Magic Mountain though it was brutal, it was 2:30 and the traffic was stacked up so once again I was splitting with the panniers on, (for some reason it seemed easier this time around) I basically split lanes from Magic Mountain all the way to La Costa Ave which is my exit , there was a break every once in awhile, the 73 was moving nicely, but once I hooked back up to the 5 it was slow again.

Sorry Bill, I couldn't muster a new top speed on this day, too tired and didn't want to push the bike as it had treated me so well the whole trip.

If I had sponsors I would thank:

1. Ducati for making such a fun, rideable motorcycle in the ST3.
2. Avon for the great tires!! 2800 miles and you could hardly tell.
3. Lowe's for letting me take these work trips on the bike.
4. Moto Forza service for always taking great care of me and the bike.

No scenic pics today, just a self portrait leaving Redding, and the final GPS stats.

Thanks to all of you for the well wishes and for keeping up with me, it was alot of fun. Can't wait for the next one...I always wanted to ride to Memphis...Great Blues and Food!!
