Post Ride to Memphis?
Well, it is getting close... I will be departing Carlsbad the Tuesday after Labor Day for a journey to EL Paso, TX, Dallas, TX, Memphis, TN, New Orleans, LA, Austin, TX, Scottsdale, AZ, then back home.

Since I plan on spending 2 days in both Memphis and Austin it should be a 9 or 10 day trip. I will be taking the most direct / freeway routes as I am going for the ride and the music / food at each destination.

If any of you are interested you can either reply here or PM me. I have done 1,000 mile days on a Multistrada in the past; I will be riding an ST3s this time around and should have no problems with the long days (I think the longest day is 900 miles or so between Austin and Scottsdale) that I have planned.

I rode to Sturgis last year with a friend of mine, I was on the Multi and he was on some sort of Fat Boy or something and we had to stop at every Harley dealer between Carlsbad and Sturgis for oil for his bike, t-shirts, etc... I don't mind stopping as long as I need gas or food preferably both.

I am not much into the freeways...I would rather take back roads everywhere (the Multi is not much of a superslab bike).

dude that is one long journey.

I wouldn't even want to fly that far, nonetheless ride a bike.

You're a brave man.

Map out the route for me. This might work. I am looking for a long journey this summer...I am going to be up in Nevada for that Labor Day but might be able to catch up with you somewhere.

This is sounding more and more interesting...do we have to stay on the slab???

I have everything mapped out for the fastest route to each destination at this point. Wecould certainly meet up up some time in the near future and I'll show you what I have on paper and where I'll be staying.

I have the GPS mounted and I'm ready to go!
