Post Palomar East Grade
Remember after thunderstorms in East County the roads can have gravel and sand deposited on them.

Saturday going up East Grade near the landfill, 4 bikes went down in rapid succession after hitting 1-2" of gravel at the apex of the turn. First was an '06 999s, rider taken in ambulance with shoulder injury. Next 3, CBR 1000's into the thicket with one standing vertical after hitting a large tree. First CBR nearly decapitated the Duc rider lying on the ground. This is a high speed area and a blind curve, so it was very fortunate that no one was severly injured or killed. In fact by pure luck, the last 3 riders rode their broken bikes home. The Duc's owner 's name is Hugo. Real tall guy around 50yrs old, greyish hair and experienced rider.

I sure wasn't thinking about thunderstorms that morning but I will from now on.
