Post "Sticky," malfunctioning turn signal switch
The turn signal SWITCH on my 748 has become "sticky" and doesn't always want to positively click in and out of the left, right, and center detents. This means that occasionally it fails (more frequently on the "left" side) and I have to use the Mark 1, Mod 0 arm signals.

I popped the unit off my handlebar and lubed the switch with a dab of Tri-Flow (bicycle stuff), which was what I had at hand. It seemed to work a bit better last night on the commute home - we'll see how it does after sitting last night.

Besides just replacing the unit, does anyone have any guidance for what the issue might be? Unfortunately I don't have much time these days and I'd rather have a smart guess at what I'm looking for to fix before I tear it down.

I would take the switch apart and clean the contacts using electrical contact cleaner and fine sandpaper. that would be a lot cheaper start than replacing the unit.
